Seek the Kingdom of God

Life can feel like a whirlwind—family, kids, school, friends, and figuring out who we are. In the middle of all that chaos, it's easy to lose sight of what really matters—God's kingdom. But Jesus has straightforward advice for us in Matthew 6:33: "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." So, what does that mean for us? First off, seeking God's kingdom means making Him the top priority in our lives. It's about putting Him before everything else—our job, our social life, even our favorite Netflix shows. When we make God number one, everything else falls into place. But here's the cool part: seeking God's kingdom isn't just about going to church on Sundays or saying prayers before meals. It's about living in a way that reflects God's values every single day. That means being kind to others, standing up for what's right, and treating everyone with respect. Now, I know it's not always easy. There are times when we'd rather focus on ourselves or chase after the latest trends. But Jesus promises that when we put Him first, He'll take care of us. That means He'll provide for our needs—whether it's help with bills or guidance when we're feeling lost. So, let's make a commitment today to seek God's kingdom above all else. Let's start each day by asking ourselves, "How can I honor God today? How can I live in a way that reflects His love and truth?" And as we do, we'll discover that putting God first isn't just a rule to follow—it's the key to a life filled with purpose, joy, and adventure.
